10 Things I’m Thankful for in 2015

give-thanks-scriptureThere are at least 10 things I’m thankful for in 2015:

1. I’m thankful to God for His mercy and undeserved favor toward me personally.

2. I’m thankful to God for rescuing me from the bondage of living in darkness, to the power, freedom, healing and peace of living in the light of His love.

3. I’m thankful to God for teaching me that meekness is not weakness.

4. I’m thankful to God for filling my life with truth, meaning and purpose for this life and the world to come.

5. I’m thankful to God for showing me that there is no conflict between practicing mercy toward others and being completely loyal to Him.

6. I’m thankful to God for showing me that human reasoning used to perpetuate and maintain ungodly and unrighteous divisions is completely inconsistent with Christ-like character.

7. I’m thankful to God for helping me to learn firsthand that being treated badly for doing what’s right is noble and praiseworthy, but being treated badly for acting like a jerk is just reaping what I’ve sown.

8. I’m thankful to God for blessing me with a wife who is beautiful inside and out.

9. I’m thankful to God for surrounding me with a family who loves me when I’m at my best and my worst.

10. I’m thankful to be surrounded by godly men and women who love the Lord and love people.

Happy Thanksgiving!
