Food for thought: 1st Kings 10

not a lot of talk

Some food for thought regarding 1 Kings 10:

When the Queen of Sheba visited King Solomon, she was overwhelmed by his wisdom and amazed at the food on his tables, the organization of his officials, how well dressed they were, and the burnt offerings that Solomon made at the Temple of the Lord. She said she didn’t believe the reports she had heard until she arrived and saw it with her own eyes, and what she heard wasn’t the half of it, far beyond what she was told, stating,

“How happy your people must be! What a privilege for your officials to stand here day after day, listening to your wisdom! Praise the LORD your God, who delights in you and has placed you on the throne of Israel. Because of the LORD’s eternal love for Israel, he has made you king so you can rule with justice and righteousness.”

Now that we have Jesus Christ, who is “greater than Solomon”, with whom we are united and seated with in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 2:6), shouldn’t what we consume, our appearance (which reflect our attitudes) , and organization, cause our family, friends and coworkers to make similar statements?

Like I said, food for thought.

Blessings!
